Reporting Student Absences
If your student will be absent from school, a parent or guardian should contact the school office before 9:00 a.m. on the date of the absence. Please provide the following information:
- Student's name
- Reason for the absence
- Parent/Guardian name
- Contact information (phone number)
Messages may be left on the attendance office voicemail system.

About JMC Parent/Student Access
JMC is the name of our Student Record System which includes a secure portal where parents are able to log-in to access information related to their children. Access to this site can be found from several locations on our website — the top gray bar of our website, the right sidebar of this page, or from a link on your school's website.
Information available to you from JMC include:
- Report Cards/Progress Reports (Grades 5-12)
- Attendance Reports
- Access to your family food service account
- On-line payment options for your food service account or other school fees
- Ability to apply for free or reduced lunches
- Enter contact preferences for your family for weather related school closings, late start notifications, or other important messages
- On-line registration for our middle/high school students (an email or letter will be sent to families providing more information)
New account information will be distributed to all families during the open house. For assistance with your account, please contact your student's building secretary.
On-line Payments
Parents are able to make payments for school fees or their family food service accounts through JMC Parent Access. This is a secure, on-line site that is available 24-7. This gives families the flexibility to make payments at any time by scheduling either a one-time payment or setting up a schedule for automatic payments.
When making payments on your food service accounts, each family has one lunch account. Therefore, payments made to your family lunch account will be accessible to all your children regardless of the building they are attending.
Weather Related School Closing Announcements
Should inclement weather or other emergency situations require the District to close school(s), the following procedures shall be followed:
If conditions warrant the closing of schools, calls, text messages, and/or phone calls will be placed to the student's primary contact (or designee) that has been selected through JMC Parent Access. In addition, a notice will be placed on our school district's website as well as announced on local television and radio stations as listed below:
